Well I did it again I walked around the house throwing away useless cables that were no longer needed just little did I know that my granddaughter broke the cable had pulled from an Acer laptop. sleeves and left him lost in an electro pile. So this was my lucky chance to try the new cable by model number and it works great! It's nice to have an easily accessible spare cable.

I've had this for 6 weeks and it was working fine until this morning my wife plugged it into the computer and sparks started shooting out of the area it was plugged into. It could start a fire very easily. I have no idea if the chrome book is broken but I think I'll spend some extra money and see the factory cable. Either way, it's not worth the risk of possibly ruining your computer, or worse, burning down your house to save a few bucks and get that crappy charger.

Purchased for CB5-571. Technically it loads, but the problem is in the design. The female (?) end of the power cord is too small and doesn't fit properly in the transformer, so it falls out with the slightest movement. But what's even worse is that because it's loose it doesn't hold a connection, so it doesn't pass electricity, meaning it won't charge most of the time. And then there's the part that plugs into the Chromebook's charging port. It's too small and just falls out. It will stay put…
