Do not use the green connector unless you have a special device that can use it. Almost everything is designed for 5 volts and no more than 2.4 amperes of charging power. The green contact charges faster because it changes voltage from 9 volts to 1 volt. My Samsung S9 phone was working fine until I tried it on the green pen. Toast now - the display is dead but still vibrating.

I used this to measure battery health and it was pretty accurate. I wouldn't trust it as a savior, but it's a good tool to warn of impending doom while charging my phone. I'll say I don't leave it overnight as most AC adapters I know stay hot with the ignition off (fear of battery drain). But if you can safely unplug and drop the box when you turn off the car, it's a lot better than a simpler charger for the same price.

This item is amazing. Get this for everyone who has been waiting for super slow loading. My iPhone charges in about 30 minutes as this varies by device and shows how much charge is being applied. Battery voltage is nice even when you don't have anything plugged in. However, this is only an accurate reading before you start your car. After that, the power your generator is producing will be displayed. So it's still a good way to control your car's charge capacity.

As this shows the battery voltage (usually 13-14 volts while driving) I put in some petrol a 5 hour drive ago and noticed the battery voltage was as low as 12v , about 11.7. At 11.5V it started flashing. They told me I had an alternator problem, so I put an extra freshly charged 12 volt battery in the car. I am very happy with it. I had it for several months and it was very accurate. I have two other digital readouts and a digital multimeter and they are all within a tenth of a point of each other. It also reads the correct voltage from your phone. The blue light isn't distracting at all, which is nice.
