My original cable (which was stolen) had traffic functions (Nüvi 3490). I purchased this cable and a separate bracket as a replacement, but was disappointed to learn that I was no longer receiving traffic through this cable on my original device. But other than that, this cable works very well, there's just no traffic. I am happy. Many Thanks.

Charger works well when connected to Garmin. One thing I noticed is that the device can't be turned off when it's online. Even though this cable appears to be charging the Garmin, it won't turn on until you plug it in. If you turn it off, you'll be asked if you want to turn it off. If you say no, it stays disabled. I can only assume that the chip was in the original cable and not in this one.

The first time I used it I put it in settings and clicked on the traffic icon. Then the screen said the power cord is not compatible, we need the right cord. Why don't they have a cable which is one reason to use a GPS to avoid traffic jams before you get into them. It seems like a serious complaint against Garmin now that I've already bought it. So I have to try to find a cable that gives me traffic information.

If you are thinking of buying this for your Garmin Montana 610t, DO NOT! This is some sort of counterfeit and not the equivalent of Garmin part #010-10851-11 (suitable charger for Montana devices). In both my car and ATV, this charger gives a "device not supported" or "unrecognized device" error on the Montana GPS receiver and it won't charge. Sometimes you can do it, but 90% of the time it doesn't work. Get a genuine Garmin part number 010-10851-11 instead.

I bought a Garmin GPS (used) from Revain and the charger that came with it was poor. Great, now I have to send it back. Actually, I looked at Revain and found this product at a reasonable price, so I decided to give it a try. It works exactly as it should, which is great, and the only issue I had was that after a while (usually a couple of weeks) it slowly slips out after being plugged in. I guess I'll just have to reset it. 100% happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone who needs…

I may have had problems with my GPS when I ordered this cable because I lost the original cable. Now it just tells me it's receiving satellites but can't find any! Is it possible that the cable is not part of the antenna system and I need the original cable for the GPS to work? GARMIN NUVI 2689 LMT is the GPS I am trying this cable on too! Thank you

The original 12v power cord finally gave up. I use GPS in two different cars and rentals so there is a lot of string pulling and handling. The Garmin replacement is very expensive so I decided to try this as a first alternative. It worked great. I no longer have traffic that has an antenna built into the power cord, but I still haven't used that traffic feature. I am happy with this purchase and recommend it.

Thanks to Revain for getting this to me in a day even though I used normal postage. I have a Garmin Nuvi 1350 and the description says it will work with this model. Unfortunately, this charger seems to have a mind of its own. The first time I connected it to a cigarette. The lighter thought it was a computer and I had to turn it off and on again. Then I tried to set the destination first and then connect. It seemed to work, but not for long. He switched off on his own, then back on again…
