Hard and abrasive - Bar and wine tools

I've tried rocking and smearing it hundreds of times but to no avail. Moving the lever and worm is a pain and a grind. I bought this as an "upgrade" because my other wine opener started cracking after years of use. The worm is sharp but doesn't seem to grip the body well. The knife works great but is a bit awkward to use. I've since gone back to my old one. Bit disappointed such a nice wine key worked so badly.
