My nephews (6 and 12 years old) loved it. They actually put away the new laptops their parents gave them for Christmas and sat on the floor for hours playing with them. It was so much fun that everyone, including us adults, fought for their place. I grew up with Dame and it was fun watching the kids enjoy it as much as I did when I was a kid. I'm so glad I bought it because it brought the whole family together including my grandmother who shouted "move here not here." Enjoyed every minute.

It's just a great game to play with others. The fact that it's so big just means more fun. Others can easily watch you play. It's almost impossible to lose a chessboard because the pieces are so big. I like the checkerboard pattern as a mat rather than a folded card as it just lays flat and doesn't wrinkle etc. It's easy to store as the bag comes with zips. Fits perfectly on a standard 6ft table making it convenient. Due to its gigantic size, the game of checkers is simply more fun.

I always liked these sets when I saw them at Cracker Barrel restaurants. When my six-year-old granddaughter showed me that she could play, I immediately ordered them for the whole family, especially during the holidays. I love the Jumbo Checker carpet. We've only used it a few times so far and it seems to be holding up. I could see that the ends are likely to wear out over time as there is only one seam around the edges. You can easily reinforce the edges yourself if you want to prevent damage. I love that we can play and not have to worry about a child choking on the bits left by my slightly older children. It was fun to take away. The only thing I would like to change is the packaging.
