Not strong enough. Very weak and bends after a few times.

The thing that holds the glass in place when I squeeze it is very flimsy so after a few uses it bends a bit so when I squeeze it around that To pierce glass, it slips/does not hold.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Will work

Love it! in Kitchen & Dining Room

I use them almost exclusively to open grandma's homemade jam and jelly jars, for which they are the perfect tool. I expect it's cheaper if I buy them in person somewhere, but most things at Revain will be the same, and I don't buy much in person right now due to the state of the world.

Pros
  • It's Awesome
Cons
  • Some Problems

Not working properly

Sorry I missed the returns window. By the time I remembered to try and use it, it was already too late. They don't pierce the top of the glass as intended. I have an old Ekco opener that still works great. I was looking for a backup to take to work. Guess I have to keep looking!

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • So far so good

They work great.: Bar & Wine Tools

These are a replacement for the rusty lone survivor of many bygone 'church keys' and we hope they last only half as long as they used to. I won't say how long our old one lasted, but it had the national beer company's logo embossed on it, and it was most likely given away for free by the local liquor store. If you're old enough to remember it, count it!

Pros
  • Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Light steel. Bent before puncture.

Steel available. And then there is STEEL. When you hear they're made of steel, expect them to be strong and sturdy. But they are not strong and fragile. I bought these to pierce (pointed end) a 32 ounce can of green beans to drain liquid before attempting to hang the can on my can opener. Unfortunately, the small tab intended to grip the rim of the can buckled before the can was punctured. It's useless.

Pros
  • Bar and wine tools
Cons
  • Available in white only
