These are really good needles, the thread holes are smooth and large enough for easy threading of at least two or more threads. The needles make a well-made and durable impression.

I would love to love these as they were recommended to me by the Etsy seller I bought the hand embroidery chart from but three of them broke simply hand embroidery onto cotton fabric. They are small and appear to be large but I think they are very brittle so cannot be used with thick material. Just my experience.

I use a strong knot thread Aurifil. It's strong, but every time I use this thread to hand sew with these needles, the thread breaks where the eye of the needle is. So I'm assuming the needle is sharp where the eye is and this will cause the thread to break. I'm a little surprised this hasn't been mentioned in previous five star comments, but that was my experience. I would not recommend these needles for this reason.
