Received today and started work on a bag of cherries (1lb) and the pit broke 3/4 of the way. The thing wasn't even glued properly. and just fell apart. I think you get what you pay for. Although for something bad even free would be too much.

We love Bing cherries and my husband can't bite a cherry due to a bout of oral cancer. This way I can stone the cherries and it is much easier for him to bite into the flesh of the cherries. We also use it to remove pits from olives. Great tool.

To be honest I can't even remember how messy and annoying cherry pit removal was after I bought this cherry pit. It really is a game changer, no more messes, no more cherries under your fingernails, no more dirty shirts. It's fast, smooth and easy to clean.

I originally bought another one which I thought was faster. But that's not the case. This is good if the cherries are not small or the same size. It's easy when you have a toddler who wants it NOW! lol Just get this one if you don't make industrial size cakes. Feeding a mini terrorist is all you need.

I like this stoner. I gave it 4 stars because sometimes it can't get rid of the hole. I have found that it works best when the cherry is placed so that the perforator hits the hole where the stem was. Otherwise, the bone can be omitted, especially if the fruit is large. I used to make pitted cherry jam. It was so good! but the process is labor intensive. Now I'm considering doing it again!
