I personally like the look of this, and it looks like the pic. It is very slippery - I find my watercolor brushes slipping off when I set them in. Just not the best for smaller/thinner brushes.

Just about perfect for it's simplicity. It won't win any design contests, but you're not buying it for it's design æsthetic. you're buying it to hold your pen. Be glad it's not hideous. It's actually quite elegant.

I was very disappointed.This item was poorly finished with a rough edge and the sealant shows dripping areas. I received a replacement and it was in the same poor condition.Considering all this and the price, I recommend that you find another maker.

I needed to keep my paint brushes from rolling away and this is perfect. It’s small enough so it does not take up too much room and heavy enough so it stays put

it's very ugly. none of the elegance from the pictures. almost like someone carved it in imitation of beauty and failed. it's like a set of molars, which i would rather not set my brush on.

My son is an artist and recently took up calligraphy as a side hobby. He really likes antiques and old style tools etc. He loved these whale pen rests. They reminded him of the Moby Dick story. Great quality, heavy and nicely done. I was very pleased with the craftsmanship and simple design. Great price too.

Are use it for my watercolor brushes it’s a little bit high but you know it’s fine and it has five slots I can stick in a pencil if I am sketching and if it’s in my brush roll so I’m gonna say I like it a lot it goes with me everywhere
