So this arrived with a broken lens and I had to take it apart to get it working properly. It projects some nice patterns and works very well. My biggest complaint is that the fan still runs when you turn it off with the remote, so you end up having to turn it off. This makes it useless if you install it in a place that is inconvenient to disable.

This is really a basic device and it's great for my purposes. I just wanted to add some extra visual interest to my webcasts. The only thing I don't like is the musical note mode visual, which seems a bit cheesy and out of context with other shapes/designs. I would prefer if all drawings were more abstract. I can see that the "Disco Ball" version is probably closer to what I'd like, but it was still a good buy and a lot of fun.

I am very satisfied with this product, it has many interesting options. I was worried it wouldn't fill the space I have, but it did very well. The price for such a good party light is really unbeatable. The last one I bought I paid twice as much for half the features and broke after one Christmas season. I also like that it has three colors of lasers. If I could say one negative thing it would be that the laser doesn't shine through the fog machine. Unless we love it!

As other reviewers have mentioned, the power cord is very short, about 2 feet long. So if you want to hang it from the ceiling, you'd better have a ceiling socket exactly where you want it to be hung. The stand doesn't feel like the sturdiest thing in the world, it really needs to be tightened to make sure it doesn't fall apart.
