Not enough but useful

Looks like sand but probably not. Recommended for peeling potatoes. The pulp of the rhizome does not grind, but easily removes the peel. I will have to get wasabi to see if they are different.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Long

Fresh Wasbi - Kitchenware & Gadgets

My husband is a chef, I kept telling him it was small but he insisted I order. Well, Chef is happy with the product and seems to be using it for fresh wasby with no problem. I give it 4 stars because it's small but serves its purpose.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled

perfect for fresh wasabi

I have a metal ginger grater that I use to grate fresh wasabi. This shark skin grater is much better. The paste it forms from the wasabi rhizome is thinner and generates more heat. It's small, but so are the rhizomes. I grated an entire rhizome in just a few minutes. For ginger, I still prefer metal.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Hard to say

looks like a toy for a children's dollhouse

The thing is ridiculously small, it can't be used for cooking. It looks like a child. Shame on the seller for passing this off as an actual $20 kitchen tool. I sent it back as soon as I received it. but it's like 1.5 inches x 2 inches! You need to cut the wasabi to the size of carrot sticks to use.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • I'm worried
