Received today and the back of the chair is broken! Looks like it fell off because the crack is running through it, so it's not just a scratch. In addition, the metal part, which is made of iron, seems very strong and strong. The stool is definitely heavy, but unfortunately I have to send it back 😔

Yes, I love these stools. Seriously for the price? One stool had a back rough enough to be sanded down. If you don't plan on sitting on it naked, no need to worry. They should be more like raw wood, that's the style. They're solidly built and some of the easiest to put together pieces of furniture we've ever bought. Our brewhouse is going to be great.

There are solid, durable chairs that look great. I have no problem with the wood being too rough, but each has a slightly different finish, one being a little smoother than the other. Dear Hard Metal, there is nothing cheap about it. I bought one of our stools at a discount because the packaging was damaged but the description said the product was intact, great solution! Only the box was damaged and I got about $30 off!

I love these bar stools, the ease of assembly and quality parts. Looks like they will last for years. A slightly heavier metal industrial look is good. However, wood is a problem for these chairs. It is fir that is simple and tidy. But it's very rough and most notably the seats have uneven fibers that you can snag on clothing like lycra, spandex etc. If you're wearing short shorts, you might get a little abrasion as you move across the seats. Cool chairs. The optics are great, they are quite comfortable and the footrest is well placed. They were very easy to assemble alone, were heavy and felt solid. The legs have plastic tips, so if you have hardwood floors you'll need to add felt pads. There are three issues though: Some of the screws are uneven so they don't sit flush with the wood/hardware (this really worries me and I wouldn't have bought them if I'd seen this flaw in person first). My first order had one stool in perfect condition, the second one ripped at the back seam. It took three separate shipments of one to replace the damaged one. The last one I got looked in great shape until I assembled it and placed it next to the first. The rear end isn't quite flat, the spot where it bolts to the metal plate is a little wobbly. A bit disappointing after the hassle of unpacking, repacking and waiting for delivery. In general, despite the shortcomings, I decided to leave it. So…
