Got these on a special lightning deal and couldn't be happier to use them. I've had an old one (not the same brand) for years and I really like it. I did see it though and really liked the extra arm length for safety when sticking my hand in my oven and accidentally touching the rim of the oven (oops), especially when baking cakes. How could I ever live without these potholders? For years, I've burned my hands from cleaning the oven with my bare hands. I'm small and I really need to get to the items in the back of the oven. Most quilted fabric mittens are not long enough. They are long enough that no skin is exposed to the oven. I have other sets of silicone gloves but they are all unlined. They have a nice quilted inside to the toes! The soft cuffs feel nice so I don't burn my hands pulling something out of the oven. They are comfortable and fit my forearms well. My husband uses silicone gloves to easily take the whole brisket or boston butt to move around on the smoker. It will be great for him. I just wrote them down and tried them out and can attest to: 1. How well made they are. Very good quality, should last forever. 2. Sweet. I love the old school retro color blue (and black). I plan to hang them in a conspicuous place. 3. High performance. Easy to take off and put on. I bought the gloves so my kids can safely cook in the oven or microwave if they want and I am happy with the gloves.
