Not durable: POS (point-of-sale) devices

Batteries don't charge for more than about 90 days and buttons don't last more than 18-20 months. Very expensive for the life of the product.

Looks great, works great. A bit expensive.

Well designed, easy setup, flawless performance. If there's a downside, it's that it costs more than it should. If it were a consumer product, it would sell for half the price.

Works with square register.

This appears to be the only barcode scanner that actually works with a square drive. There were several others that work on my PC but not in the registry. So far no problems. Scans codes quickly (I use 3 out of 9) and accurately. Holds a charge all day.

Identifies and scans barcodes very well

Identifies and scans barcodes very well. I wish it would use AA batteries instead of AAA. The battery cover is difficult to remove and replace. The battery cover is cheap and flimsy. I think it's a bit expensive for what you get.

Great product for office electronics

Ordered this for a small counter and it works great. Concerned about how long the batteries would last as we are open 16 hours a day but were pleasantly surprised to find it worked all the time. They quickly connected to our Square account iPads via Bluetooth and started working. Much quicker than trying to manually enter prices into the system and wondering if they were entered correctly. Also helps with inventory. Wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

This product is not light blue but dark blue; it's not safe either!

I chose this color because it would be easy to find at checkout. They sent me navy blue instead and I don't even think that color exists based on photos from other vendors and the socket website. That was my first feeling of alienation. But it's also the fourth socket scanner (for the in-store Square checkout) I've had to buy. The first two stopped filing charges in less than a year. The third, the red one, was easy to find but didn't work reliably - sometimes it worked fine, sometimes it saidโ€ฆ
