This replacement steering system was a huge disappointment. As an automotive enthusiast, I was expecting more from this brand, but I was left disappointed. As a result of my tests, I determined that the Chunle Replacement MerCruiser 866322A01 866718A01 falls short in both quality and performance. The installation was also a nightmare and took much longer than it should have. The only pro was that it was affordable, but the cons far outweigh this. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I had to do this twice because the shaft edges were very sharp. I ordered a new shaft and seal for shipping reasons. The other company's shank was more rounded. Or I would recommend forging the shaft to avoid damaging the seal when installing. Otherwise a great kit.

I didn't know what to expect from this set as genuine Mercruiser parts would cost around $800 but I was surprised at how good the quality really is. Tolerance is tight, stainless steel pin, cast iron lever and solid. Works great and solved my side sagging. The only thing that didn't convince me was replacing the bolt that goes through the tie rod with a stainless one. Only time will tell, but so far so good
