Works as it should

This thing saved me a lot of trouble. It works as it should. It chews a bit but mine didn't break like others have said. I will be buying a few more to have in stock.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Nothing here

Costs money! fits parts

later let me start by saying money can't go wrong works better than using wood or wrenches which aren't the best. This block makes life nice and easy if you are a techie or just love working with Harleys.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • I'll add

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A worthy addition to my tool box.

For holding the shaft when removing and installing the sprocket screw. No manual control. Stays in place as will match the gears. Doesn't absorb oil and doesn't take up much space in my tool box. Better than a piece of wood.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • reliability

Great for transmission

Made of plastic so won't last forever. The sprocket teeth leave dents. Should get a lot of use from it before it falls apart. Suitable for daily / one-time use. There is no risk of the sprocket teeth breaking or chipping, unlike a metal locking tool. Satisfied customer.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Does exactly what it's supposed to do

Holds the chain in place so I can loosen/put the clutch on. Note that some Harleys have reverse threads on the clutch pack nut but regular threads on the compensator nut, so you'll have to gear the thing down from the top of the sprocket when changing nuts.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works great in the gearbox

Inexpensive and functional. I usually stick a piece of wood at the sprocket/chain junction, but this worked much better. I see some complaining about them breaking or only being good for one use, but other than the small marks left by the asterisk, this has held up. Used on a Sportster 3 row primary chain rated at 150 ft lbs of torque.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Basically ok but...

Works great with the cost tool HD

Easy to use for removing and replacing the stator and rotor. It was a very small fraction of the price Harley Davidson charges for their tool. Each use will slightly damage the tool, but it should last 5-10 uses before needing to be replaced. Great value for money. It will be a great prize even if only used once!

Pros
  • . Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Crushed in use

This is a ONE EVENT product. It's plastic and guaranteed to break. Mine was used twice during the dismantling process to remove the main drive. Reinstall twice. Mine had fallen into pieces and I was hoping the leftovers would be large enough to use when reinstalling. Just enough left to finish the job. Buy this product and HOPE you can get the job done.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

YOU SHOULD BUY EVERYTHING YOUR PRIMARY DE your drive belt!

I have been building/working bicycles as a hobby for a long time. I personally have 6 Harleys. I once "made" this out of wood. it worked, having a real part at a good price is worth it. I also have a number of huge port freight outlets. You need a large size to remove the primary. The store charges a few hundred to replace your belt. You can do it yourself for $200 including the cost of the tape and tools.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
