Easy activation, 2 connection cables

Wow! There were 1-2 bars in my three-story house (including the basement). I bought this device, activation is easy, 2 cables to connect. Now I have 5 bars in EVERY ROOM! Highly recommended! Originally rated 5 stars because it was ready to use. Two months later it started dropping calls etc. ATT was called and they said the product was discontinued and would not be taken back. Called Revane and they picked him up after I explained. World Class Customer Service! #loveRevain

Cannot be activated on signal boosters

The unit I received was brand new and after a while (after plugging it in) all the lights came on including the GBS light. However, the cellular signal was blinking and I assumed it hadn't been set up through AT&T yet. During setup, you must enter the serial number on the AT&T scope. Unfortunately, this returned the error "Serial number not found". I called AT&T yesterday and got nothing and wanted to return it. This morning I received an email from the seller and he informed me that AT&T is…

MCell activates voice communication in our house

Used to replace our original Mcell. Must have AT&T. Went to the mcell ATT administration website and added this mcell device (only needs the device serial number). The entire setup time took me about 20 minutes (it was all pretty much a software update with the ATT network - I basically plugged in the power and ethernet cable after 30 seconds and left) and I was done. The signal strength of our phones has been increased from 1 to 5. I managed to copy my old guest list number. Only amplifies the

USED AS NEW or RESTORED MICROCELLS

I've been using the Microcell for my poor AT&T reception for 9 years. My first lasted 8-1/2 years and then the used one gave me 6 months. In the past few weeks I've ordered and returned 3 which have promised to be either 'like new' or 'tested' or 'ready to check in'. Unfortunately, the two I have that don't work can meet those specs. When someone says it's "tested", that usually means it turns on, which my non-working mics do. You actually connect to the GPS, but can no longer receive the AT&T…

Great product - no complaints but read review for important info

Received it today and WOW what a difference. I had serious problems with my side of the conversation being cut off. People just couldn't hear me, but I could hear them sometimes. Now I have 4-5 bars around the house and on the street. My calls are stable and work great. The only thing I want to say is that if you leave your microcell and make a call, you should know that you are moving (or moving) to a cell tower. If you are on a call originating from a cell tower and return to the micro cell…

  • Great for a small home

  • Questionable purchase for seniors

As expected: signal booster

My home office has poor cellular reception due to dropped or dropped calls. AT&T said I was in a dead zone and nothing could be done. I've considered amplifiers that require an external antenna, but they're impractical for our home. AT&T has discontinued the microcell but continues to support it and used/refurbished ones are available on eBay and Revain. I took a chance with a Revain refurbished unit and am glad I did as I now have a strong signal, 4 out of 4 bars on an iPhone 7 with very good…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works great, noticeable improvement, works through exterior walls

In short, this thing really works and works through walls, even exterior walls. Decent signal, even with their Verizon based micro cell it wasn't even nearly as efficient as this one. My wife was with AT&T and had a better (but still weak) signal than me, so I switched to AT&T and bought this device. I'll list some of my results for signal strength (dBm) because I think it's more useful than just "bars". For reference, about -80dBm or less is great (5 bands), -80 to -100dBm is where most of us…
