It really works for my dog.

My 10-year-old mixed-breed male became more restless as he got older. Anything will make him bark. Someone's going up and down the stairs, moving in a chair, and now that we're putting on a mask, we're going out. This collar really kept his barking at bay. Now I've noticed that it sounds like he's about to bark but is holding back most of the time. Don't get me wrong, he's still barking. But the house is much quieter. The only downside is when my daughter's dog starts barking my dog gets…

does what it's supposed to do

My husky/healer mix must hate the smell of citronella because she tries hard not to bark in this collar. it doesn't hold much oil. The oil lasts about 2 days before it needs to be refilled. One beep before spraying is enough to keep my dog from barking for about half a day after the oil has run off. Excellent battery life, one charge lasts about a week. The remote works as advertised, although I didn't check the distance as I'm using auto mode on the collar. Bonus: the house smells like…

Effective and humane

I haven't noticed any improvement in my pup's constant barking despite trying several positive reinforcement methods. I want her to know what's "barkworthy" and what's not. The remote control is ideal because she can really bark with it; for another "obnoxious" bark when I tell her to shut up (and she doesn't), she gets a warning beep, sprays, and rewards herself once she's quiet. Very effective and humane training tool. It's true that the odor lingers on, but nothing a quick wipe down with…

Works best in collars

I've tried using sound collars just for barking and they worked for a while but my dog figured it out and after a while started ignoring it. I didn't want to go the stun collar route, that would be a last resort. This is a great device that grabs the dog's attention when you press the spray button. It doesn't work automatically, but that's ok. It would be great if they added a way to program a progressive automatic response like tone level 1, 2, 3, spray 1, 2 depending on how long the bark is…

Works well in general

Some of the operations on this collar are invisible to tell you exactly how well they work. It takes some work to get the correct tension setting depending on the thickness of the head. The horn and spray seem to work together, but no matter how close I am, I can't smell the citronella. The results, however, can't be denied - the big guy (80+ lbs) makes a rough noise or two and then stops, so he's clearly picking it up. Don't worry, aside from letting you tell him he knows what's going to…

Great tool, a pain to use

The "flaps" on the loading points are really annoying if you use this tool daily to load and thread your collar. While I realize I'm trying to be waterproof, it's impractical to take them out every night as we fill and charge them. There must be a better way! After several attempts to lift them, I usually resort to a sharp object to help. It shouldn't be difficult. Eventually we plan to get rid of this puppy, hopefully within a few weeks. Not sure if the device supports instant spraying without

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
