CityFarmer Digital pH Meter for Hydroponic Nutrient Solution Testing, with 2 Pack Calibration Solution Mixture, Accurate & Reliable Results, Built-in ATC Review

I grow hydroponically and use this meter daily. Easy to calibrate and lasts for weeks. My only problem is taking off this black cap for the first time. I bought two of these counters and had the same problem with both. I am about to order my third meter as the current one is 5 months old and I know it will fail soon. Expensive meters fail after about 6 months, so I think the price-performance ratio is good.

Not very accurate - I liked the idea that this calibration could be done with a screwdriver as calibration can be a little tricky for other gauges. I went and bought some distilled water and did a calibration and despite everything it's still very wrong - it can't be calibrated. The difference is 1.34 +/-. That's ridiculous. I have another pH meter (more difficult to calibrate) and I just have to stick with it.

The first thing I got was faulty with the calibration. The seller kindly sent a replacement which I received 2 days later. The second device only needed a little calibration out of the box and works surprisingly well. Keeping the electrode wet will help the device function properly and prolong its life. Personally, I put about 1mL of pH 7 buffer solution in a cap and store it upright. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap solution.

Meter is accurate for its price. It only reads to the tenth decimal place, so if you need to be very precise, get one that reads to the hundredth decimal place. I use it as a backup counter to check my other counters. I compare it to the General hydroponic PH solution and it works perfectly every time without having to recalibrate it every time. I've been using it for a few months now with no problems. I'll update the post if it doesn't last longer than a year.

I had a digital device that needed calibration powder to set the pH but I found it can be slightly inaccurate. I bought a calibration solution but the pH is different from the powder that came with it, so it's difficult for me to test and adjust the pen. So I got this one so I can always setup Ph manually with my solution. The disadvantage of this is that it only has one decimal place, in contrast to digital it always has two decimal places. But it reads faster than digital and is easy to use.

This is my second purchase of this product (stepped on the first one, oops). I have tried several other gauges and this is by far the best. Unlike other pH meters, this one uses a screw for calibration. This gives you the most accurate readings over the widest dynamic range. This is not the case with gauges that require the push of a button to calibrate (less accurate, less range). And this comes already calibrated (for pH 7). It would be 5 stars but it doesn't turn off.
