Description of CK T1167GTM LaYZr Tungsten Electrode

Layzr (Chartreuse) EWG. Principal Oxides: 1.5% Lanthanum, 0.08% Zirconium, 0.08% Yttrium Oxides. Non-Radioactive. Best for automated or robotic applications in Alternating Current (A/C) or Direct Current (D/C) due to low voltage tolerance (changes in tip to work piece distance) using inverter or transformer based constant current power sources. Good for low-alloyed steels, non corroding steels, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, titanium alloys, nickel alloys, copper alloys. Very stable tip geometry, runs cooler than 2% Thoriated with longer life, low to medium amperage range. Very best low amperage starts.

Great Welding Tool for Automotive Jobs

I've been using this tungsten electrode for welding automotive parts and it has exceeded my expectations. THE precision and stability it provides during the welding process is unmatched. The tungsten composition also enhances current carrying capacity, which is great when welding thicker metal. The only downside is the price, but its definitely worth the investment for quality results. .

Pros
  • High-quality tungsten material for excellent performance and durability in welding.
Cons
  • Difficult to find in stock at some welding supply stores, leading to potential delays in completing projects.

Believe the hype, the arc they create is sharp!

I'm by no means a professional welder but I follow a lot of welders on IG. They seem to have started recommending this Lizer tungsten to everyone. I was intrigued, but I still have a full box of 2% Lanthanate. I was never happy with how wide and messy my wires were no matter how sharpened the tungsten was. I finally broke down and tried the Laizre and I was blown away! Either I have a very bad batch of 2% or Lyzr is the best tungsten money can buy right now. You have to do it yourself to try…

  • Wow
