ATTENTION: Additional handset also requires a telephone socket! This is unlike other phones where the connector is not required. This is NOT what I was looking for and the list was misleading.

packaging is bad; Batteries are missing

This was a Christmas present and it was a shame the phones weren't in the factory box and the batteries were missing. After several phone calls, the issues were resolved and we decided not to return the devices. In hindsight we should have.

Hard of hearing and visually impaired - a real help

I got this and the corded telephone that went with it. I have a closed captioned phone, but it cannot be moved (using cable line + phone line + power supply). It's great to have a portable phone when I can't reach a CC phone. It has a lot of volume controls, which is very helpful. I have hearing aids and sometimes I need to turn the volume _down_ and sometimes I need to turn the volume up_. Can easily be done in the middle of a conversation. Highly recommended !

My Clearness E814CC came with 1 base station and 1 handset. Needed another one, ordered this one. I ordered from Mafia Buys and, unlike other reviews, was pleasantly surprised that rechargeable batteries were included. Registering an additional handset is not difficult, but there is a small error in the instructions. The handset instructions say to press and hold the "SEARCH" button on the base.
