Doesn't work properly - filtration under sink and countertop

I like that it's compact and stainless steel because it fits in our kitchen. But after just a few weeks, it began to spit out chunks of carbon. You can't get a glass of water without black chunks floating in it, and I'm not sure it's safe to drink. We are looking for a solution.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good but not great

The water filter is not working. Tap water tested against water from this filter. The TDS meter indicates that the water is 20 points worse. PH tests have filtered out water that is more acidic than tap water. Tap water is alkaline while filtered water is acidic. The first photo is tap water, the second is filtered water.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons

Clean, good drinking water

I'll tell you about that in a moment, but I have great taste. I drink a lot of water; I used Brita filters but the smell was still there and the water didn't taste clean. I followed the directions for this and I can see the difference. I'd say the instructions don't say to pull the little tab that goes to the faucet to get water out of the filter's spout. This part was not included in the instructions. I should have found that out when I searched the questions section. So I will report later on

. After recording is very easy to install. My Moen faucet did not require the 2 adapters that came with the filter unit. However, within a week, a cheap Chinese piece of tubing connected directly to the bottom of the case was leaking. I am very disappointed that a really thick hose was not made for this device. I'm returning an item and choosing something designed and made in Europe. Shame on the manufacturer who makes the best possible filter device cheap by sacrificing quality where…

No more chlorine! -- Lifetime customer --

Worked in California, terrible place. The water smelled like pool water. Thanks to the manufacturer of this product, our water is clean and pure. I didn't run any tests but the chlorine smell and chalky taste are gone. Due to the quality of our water I don't know if it will last a full 10,000 gallons but I've had this product for 4 months now and we use water from it for everything and it's still going strong. If it wasn't for long I would blame the awful water and not the design or quality of…

Get this if you live in the desert - it's amazing

OMG This is a great water purifier! I live in Arizona and we don't have much water. I have always had a white deposit of salt, chemicals in my stainless steel sink. And it always smelled like a swimming pool. I knew I could get regular tap water at certain times of the day, but it was a small window. I used to buy water at the store for a quarter, but lugging plastic jugs upstairs was never fun for me - I live where 115-120 degrees is not uncommon. I did a taste test between a faucet, a new…

Tasty water from an inexpensive filter

I was very impressed by the water filter. It's really easy to install. Looks good. The best part is that it doesn't change the taste of the water. Follow the instructions, let the water flow after installation. This is a water filter with a non-replaceable filter. So after launch, you need to redeem. Considering the price if I get 6 months use I'll be satisfied. It says it's good for 10,000 gallons of water, so we'll see. I've been at this for a month now. Very small flaws that people complain…

Works better than Puur jug filters - water tastes great!

I am very happy with this water filter. I used a large Puur water tank with a Puur filter, but the filters clog up quickly and don't last long. After a long drying time the Puur filters start working again but the constant filter change is a big problem and they are not cheap and the water filters very slowly unless the filter is new. This CleanWater4Less filter gives me water that tastes the same. good as what I get from a Puur filter but much faster as the tap water pressure pushes water…

CHECK THE WATER FILTER IMMEDIATELY!

CHECK THIS WATER FILTER NOW: This product is not intended for filtering water in Billings, Montana. Period. Should be immediately reminded not to give people a sense of security from filtered water. TEST YOURSELF: Pour ten tablespoons of "filtered" water from the device into a clean pan and allow the water to evaporate completely on the stove. In the pan you will see an oily foam and a white film of unfiltered impurities. Wash the pan completely and repeat the test with another filtered water…

Could be better for filtration under sinks and countertops

Edit 2/14/18: (3 stars left) The water in our area no longer smelled of sulfur and has been treated with chlorine. My roommate complained about the chlorine taste (it doesn't bother me as much as the old sulfur smell), so this filter doesn't clean or filter chlorinated water very well either. If this is an issue for those who are sensitive to the taste or smell of water, the chlorine and sulfur are likely still present. This rating is made after 2-3 months of use. I ordered it for my new…
