Go ahead, but be careful what size YOU order! lol

Nice set. I'm taking off one star because I ordered the 1/8" size instead of the smaller one. I think I'll have two soon. Just pretend it's 5 stars. :)

Pros
  • Diameter: 1/8'
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Good kit to start with.

So far, so good. When I first ventured into the world of cleco, I wanted something like a starter kit. I wasn't sure what size to go for so I settled on 1/8th. Ideal for normal light items. I'll probably buy a 3/16 for something with more downforce in the future. But overall the dumplings are good quality and each one says Cleco and is made in the USA.

Pros
  • Colour: copper
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

The Right Tool for Restoration

I've read restoration stories where clecos were used to hold sheet metal in place before welding. I've always used clamps and other tools I needed to hold sheet metal with, but I finally gave them a try. Sheet metal positioning was much more accurate and easier with cleco. Now I have an additional method of attaching metal and it was a good choice.

Pros
  • Power and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

My brother, who is a licensed aircraft tinsmith with Delta, suggested/recommended that I consider using Cleco mounts. For installing/welding new floors on my 1957 Mercedes Roadster. WOW, what a great concept and product! I saved so much time and with Clecos dry fitting/tray installation was so easy! The pan bottoms are beautiful! Now I'm spoiled and will never come back!

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Some bugs

Holds Sheet Metal Securely

This is a great sheet metal working tool that can have many uses. I've used it to tighten auto sheet metal to get a good weld. You will need to drill a hole in the material for this to work so you have a hole size for each hole depending on what size you use, the holes were originally supposed to be filled with rivets but you can poke your holes closed. They can save your life in some situations by holding the plate in place as a second pair of strong hands, getting out of your way and pulling…

Pros
  • Tools and Household Items
Cons
  • Damaged
