Not waterproof: Electric

The first one I bought only lasted 5 days and the second lasted 20 days. The money was quickly returned, the seller bought it, but now I have a hole and no ammeter. It seems to me that the front of the device is not waterproof. Looks good when it worked and was easy to install but I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • So far so good

Nice little meter. Suitable for spare part

Nice little measuring device. I use it to control the output of a solar panel charge controller. Nice bright LED display, exactly as tested with my DMM. Would get five stars if they included wiring instructions, but other reviewers here have already posted specifics on how to wire it to your circuit, so it's not the end of the world.

Pros
  • Spare part
Cons
  • suitable for

Bad quality control. Chances are it's not working properly.

This product has HORRIBLE quality control. This may or may not work. So far I've had 4 of these and 3 of them aren't working for various reasons. I accidentally burned the first one. Guilty. The next shows 6.8V when connected to 24V, the next shows part of an LED not working and the next shows 3.8V when connected to 24V. POOR QUALITY CONTROL.

Pros
  • Voltmeter
Cons
  • poorly designed

I have no speakers Chinese

I worked about 3 months and died (literally lit). The tension is slowly updated and the current page is far away. I compared it to my Uni-T clamp meter and was surprised. How does this thing even get through quality control? I want a refund But I don't speak Chinese. Junk, don't buy it, it will die. If you need accurate voltage or current readings for this type/size of meter, use Blue Sea Systems (marine grade). They are very expensive but you get what you pay for. And they speak English.

Pros
  • Pressure gauge
Cons
  • There are new competitors

The second attempt to try his luck, this one is also not good. The calibration doesn't work to the same extent as my first purchase so I guess that's what it is, good idea, that's all. The voltage is cut off at 30 mV, the current is cut off at about 210 mA. I connected it to a known voltage and current source, in this case 12V 1000mA, connected to a 10 ohm 35W resistor via very short, soldered 16AWG stranded wires. I get a reading of 12.3V 850mA. None of those who rely on a rectangular cutout…

Pros
  • automotive industry
Cons
  • vulgarity
