A Good Detective Story in Biographies and Memoirs

This is a dynamic, well-written story. The characters are well developed and the plot is easy to follow. Good to recommend.

Nancy Drew's Shades

Aside from the fact that Mr. Parker is a newspaperman and not a lawyer, this story is very similar to detective Nancy Drew. Penny sticks her nose into everyone's affairs and finds all the clues to unravel the various mysteries.

Pros
  • Even Old People Can Understand
Cons
  • Makes Me Angry

A decent mystery. via Leaders & Notable People

It's a mystery that weaves beautifully together along the way. It seems like it's made for girls but I think everyone will like it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Expandable

Review by MJB in Leaders & Famous People

The book was very good but moving a bit slow. The ending is interesting because it ties everything together. I would recommend this book to a high school student.

Pros
  • Looking Good
Cons
  • Damaged

A good read in Leaders and Famous People

The Clock Strikes Thirteen is a well-written detective story to keep you interested, without the added profanity and sex! :-)

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
