These were quality socks made from comfortable cotton with some polyester content. However, my father is 98 years old and because his legs were swollen, the unusually long carriage cut off his circulation. And my dad is only 128 pounds, so it's not because he has strong calves. I hated returning them, but instead I decided to buy him ankle-length athletic socks.

The product information makes it clear that it can be machine washed, but it doesn't say machine dried on the label until after purchase. Not even low. Only without drying. I was surprised to list the cotton content and would not have bought them had I known about them and I believe this should be disclosed in the information. I don't have time for easy-care socks ;-).

I bought these for handwork on stage at a music festival in August. These socks were incredibly comfortable to work with. My feet have never been uncomfortable from work fatigue or sweat. They never got too hot, but cushioning was excellent. Sure, they leave a bit of lint on my feet and the compression gets a little uncomfortable in some positions after a full day+ of wear, but they're totally worth those minor downsides. I've never had more comfortable socks for work.

My husband liked these socks. They are comfortable and the finger stitching line doesn't bother. They stand up with no problems and do not pinch the calves. Watch your size. I ordered L first because my husband wears 10.5 boots. Wow! They reach up to his knees. Lol, and then I switched to size M, which also says 'women'. They fit like a crew should. We usually buy Hanes or Loom Fruit but compared to Hanes and Loom Fruit they are good value for money.

I'm picky about socks and I like them. They feel very smooth, definitely wick moisture and are thick enough to keep feet warm. They were bigger than expected so I decided to give them to my brother instead. and they make great gifts. So I used one during the day, he would never know! Update: Was about to give them to my brother when my dad complained about the reaction to the wool socks so I gave them to him instead. Oh boy! He loves these socks! And he's pickier than me!
