I didn't know there was such a thing

I always pull shoelaces out of things. Sweatpants, hospital uniform. Pool leaf packer. Then comes the search for a safety pin. If I find a safety pin, it gets stuck halfway, opens up and puts me in, or worse, opens up halfway down the canal and I can't get it out. I thought the Bodkin was a sex toy and was a little offended, but when I found out I found the joy of threading ties with a tool designed for the purpose. I tend to enjoy the little things in life.

The large one has a particularly original design

I'm not a seamstress but I've had to fix a few different items that required me to rethread the drawstring or elastic (loose sweatpants drawstring). and replacing the elastic cord for the rim of the steering wheel cover (original wasn't very strong and broke) I tried to find a suggestion on the internet to use a safety pin to thread the cord but it took an incredible amount of time and in the event of one very narrow hole in the steering wheel cover, it was very hard on my fingers. Essential - how did I live without them?

How many times have I tried to thread the elastic through the case and a safety pin has opened, tangled the fabric and refused to come out without a fight? More than I care to count, just so many times. I'm by no means a seamstress and end up learning things the hard way.
