Too thin - thimble

Unfortunately this thimble is completely useless. The back of the needle goes straight into my finger. You can wear it or not!

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Expensive

Perfect thickness for sewing

I love them. Thin enough not to be bulky but thick enough to be pierced with a needle. I use it in conjunction with my fingertips when sewing on quilt trims and sewing labels onto my quilts.

Pros
  • Flexible thimbles ensure a perfect fit.
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

I like flexibility.

These thimbles were flexible enough for my thumb. Excellent hold. Very convenient. My only problem is that it deteriorates after constant use. We sew almost every day after the pandemic. One passed. Now on my 2nd. But they are way more comfortable than the hard ones I had before. I love them and have ordered a few more packs. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Vented for breathability
Cons
  • alt

I wear it on my thumb so I can thread it through the Aida fabric more easily. This reduces the pressure required to pull the thread through whatever Stitchin Medium you are using and reduces fatigue. I can cross stitch for much longer without arthritis pain. I highly recommend. I do not recommend this type of thimble for clearing needle jams or for use on the end of a needle to push the needle through the sewing material. I think you should look at metal thimbles for these applications.

Pros
  • Pack of two large thimbles.
Cons
  • Obsolete model.
