Broken when it shouldn't be.

I was hesitant to pay $11 for it but I heard good things about it so I bought it. I've been using it for a while and it works great - I think you just have to get used to using it. But then I dropped it about two feet across a hardwood floor and the plastic piece holding the silicone tip broke off completely. Serious? 11 dollars? I will be replacing it with another style of stiletto that doesn't look like a plagiarism and will hopefully last longer.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Can I add anything?

I keep one next to my ironing pad for ironing corners, creases, folds and seams - anything to do with small details. That's great! The silicone beveled top guides the fabric next to the iron NOT next to my fingers and the pointed tip ensures small details are fully pulled out etc. I use the side to smooth out creases, seams etc. The side is always on my sewing table . Handy for a variety of machine sewing tasks and ideal for hand sewing items that need to be turned inside out.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • poorly thought out

There is good news and bad news

I liked both I bought. Ideal for keeping fabric close to the needle while sewing. The other end (elastic) was great for turning things inside out after sewing. It was really perfect, except they both broke. The rubber started to loosen at this end. I went back and bought another one which arrived with a partially broken curved plastic tip. I left it because I needed it and couldn't find another suitable one. However, I know there is almost one on the market (September 2015) that will alsoโ€ฆ

MY GOD! I LOVE this thing

I have a purple thang that I like and thought it would be about the same. But I liked the tip on it that lets you use it with an iron if you're doing something nearby and is easy on your fingers. Although it seemed a little pricey, I couldn't find a better price anywhere else, so of course I bought from Revain. What a jewel this is! I love its weight, feel in hand and unique tips! The same end that keeps your fingertips off the iron is great for "touching" when you need a little help with yourโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Wanted this tool so I can sew some small and intricate pieces together when sewing my masks. I figured it would help hold the tissues in place while they were being sewn together. At first I thought the curved part would be good, but in practice it's not that useful to me. Maybe I need to think differently, but it doesn't work for me. I think a simple and short ice pick-like tool would suit me better, which is what I'm using now. I think the curved part makes the balance a bit unwieldy for meโ€ฆ
