Dangerous design will cause many burns, do not buy!

This is a dangerous product. Barrel of exposed metal. No insulation, no cover. I guarantee you will burn yourself with it, repeatedly. They sell a version with a little cage around the part, but it's still open at the top and you'll burn your hands. It seemed such a handy little iron for small sewing projects but after three burns in three days I returned it. Still got scars Please do not buy. I repeat - it is impossible to use it without getting burned.

Gets HOT and lasts

I love my carnation, I've had it for almost a year now and it gets HOT HOT just the way I want it. I use it to iron on my appliqués when embroidering. This is definitely not enough to melt the heat and stick the applique to the product. I use it when sewing hoods or other crooked seams where I need to iron awkward curves or tight spots. as hot as a plate, which is a bit unnerving to remember to be careful. Not much, I've never burned myself. I used to have mini irons and always had the problem…

Plastic stand and hot iron are not compatible.

I don't understand why they sent a plastic stand for the hot ironing tool. I was glad to get this iron and use it for my small iron projects. While it heats up and works well in that aspect, the overall design is flawed when not in use. The cord is so heavy compared to a real iron that it cannot rest properly on the plastic stand that comes with it. Plastic and extreme heat don't mix well. The second time I used it I placed it on the stand while making adjustments to my project and went to grab
