Rating +! Accessories and consumables

Taiyo is "really" the right way. Tired of throwing CDs/DVDs in the trash that didn't burn, I googled the best blank CD/DVD. They kept popping up on every blog and review, so I gave them a try. So far I couldn't be happier. Not a single bad one yet. You're no better off buying them online than anyone else unless you count the names. Just note that Taiyo sells them with and without mail in the middle of the stack. If you want a center post to hold them together in a stack then these are the onesโ€ฆ

Excellent quality CD-R.

Possibly the highest quality CD-R I've ever used. I dare say these are the best CD-Rs you can get without going crazy and buying those expensive "archival quality" discs. There aren't any coasters yet, and I seriously doubt I'll ever get one from this set. My last pack of Verbatims was so bad I wondered if my drive was going to die. Not only that, but do you know how you can tell the difference between the burned and unburned portions of a disc by looking at the underside? With my previousโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Generally ok, but...

Good product! suitable for accessories and consumables

You sound fantastic. There was only one bad burn, and that can't have been the fault of the CD itself. These are the best recordable CD-Rs. SONY CD-R may be the only competitor; the SONY CD-R had such a warm, amazing high-fi sound; they sound very, very similar to the Sony CD-R but perhaps have a more subtle sound that is barely noticeable. They sound amazing and the very high quality of material used from the packaging to the CDs themselves is nothing short of the best out there. I'm so glad I

guaranteed top quality

With the CD format going nowhere and good old TDK Fuji not available, it's at least as good if not better (time will tell). The quality of this blank is impeccable, you will notice it the first time you record the disc. Best on the market (without archive CDs), no crashes after 30 CDs (I'm revising my old mp3 collection, still working on it). The beauty of MP3 CDs is that you hear about 8 of them. 10 hours of HQ music, you will love every part of it whenever you want, regardless of externalโ€ฆ

but like everything else

Although I'm tech savvy, the price was so exceptional compared to the small number of these Taiyo Yuden CDs that I decided to slack off . It was confusing at first getting used to the fact that they are shiny silver on both sides with no markings, but as with anything, repetition is the key. The kids take colored markers and color them in so it's pretty and makes me smile when I put it in the CD player. We found no blistering or defects after about 25 firings, which makes us smile. Nothing beats

I use a variety of media at home. Everything on sale is what I get when I go shopping, with a few exceptions. You don't need Taiyo to share photos, video clips, or burn CDs (if you already do). In a church where we need to mass produce and prepare a sermon before we leave, they will come in handy. Duplicaters will destroy cheap media. They burn fast and need high quality media. If you download cheap stuff, you slow down the speed. Otherwise you will always have bad burning quality, whole runsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Up to 48x recording speed, 80 minutes/700MB capacity
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
