This thin strip works great. I installed two 2 foot strips above my bench, under the shelf. This eliminated the shadow areas caused by my hands working in front of me. This will save me countless mistakes and save me the headache of having to strain to see fine details. DO NOT throw away the small mounting screws that come with the kit as some are suggesting. They work great for Lite Lite. (I had to dig through the trash to find mine.)

Yes, it's fantastic. I bought two of these as grow lights for my plants, I've been using them for about two weeks and have already noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement in my plants. Now I even buy plants from the sales department knowing I can return them. This product plus a moisturizer and you're done. We'll see how they hold up, but after two weeks I'm impressed. Edit: It's been a few months and since then I've bought six more with each growing collection! These are the best.

Only many small problems prevent it from being 5 stars. Mounting hardware - would be nice to see more than 2 in the light, maybe extra just in case? scratches the aluminum case when you want to put two parts together. Mounting hardware was not the same between the 4000k and 6500k bands. Cord - No extension cord, just two on/off cords. 1) Don't use them when the tube's LED strip is visible. They worked well to light up the closet (at first I thought I needed both, but I absolutely didn't). I installed them facing the closet door as you enter the dressing room. When you're not looking into the light (and you don't unless you turn around and look over the door) the light is great. If you look up, you'll see that the bottom of the two LED strips is painfully bright. I used 3 layers of 5 mil HDPE tape to diffuse the bottom layer.

I bought these lights to mount under a shelf above a workbench in the garage and under cabinets in the kitchen. They are excellent for this purpose. Just note that they are very bright and you need to install them in a place where you will see reflected light. Bright as hell, great price for a beginner gardener. I upgraded a single growing bulb (from a department store) that was said to have enough spectrum to grow, but I noticed my seedlings just never got enough light (so leggy).
