I purchase these cases (8 x 5.5 inch black version) to store biomedia and charcoal in my Penn Plax Cascade 1500. They work great and are perfect for the tray in my canister filter. They have a zipper that allows the bag to be reused. The pore size of the filter bag is quite large, so they are not suitable for Seachem purigen, but the ultra-thin version can do. Will definitely buy again in the future.

I ordered these to use with Aquacity ceramic material. I had no idea the ceramic filter materials were packaged in two identical bags, except that they were white instead of black. Great bag for large filter media. Won't work with most carbons or things like phosphonde, the holes are too big for anything smaller than the size of an eraser. A clever way to make filter media changes in canister filtration systems a much cleaner process.
