Good quality steel but needs sharpening (I sharpen all my knives and tools regardless , who they are). Tape and paint the cutting edge to prevent rust. I'll be looking at other punches from them in the future.

Like the others they had a poorly finished edge on the cutting side. They are made from high quality steel and cut to 9 oz with a little attention to the edge. skin is very good. I give them a 5 though as the quality matches the price and they are made from good steel so the blade holds up well. Just plan to sharpen the blade accordingly.

Don't expect quality cutters to be clean and ready to go, but for the price I'll keep buying them. When I received them I took them to the buff to clean the edges and they work great. They are advertised as a V but look more like a U. I wish they were 1/2 but there are some in the packaging that fit just right and do the job. Again, for the money they are excellent!

I am not satisfied with this product. None of the bits are properly formed. First, the length of the V-shaped sidewalls is different, so when the end of the strap is cut off, the sides are not flat. At first I thought I might have used a chisel that was too small, so I tried a larger chisel on the same piece of leather. The results were the same. I am very disappointed that I spent $28.99 on this product and I can guarantee I would not have bought it if I had seen this product in person before…
