If you want plain/clear coasters these are fine. The only minor complaint is that the floors are plain wood so they can move/move around a bit. Although there is a rubber band at the bottom of the holder. Wood does not absorb condensation (which can be good or bad depending on the application).

I am very careful about the types of wood I use in my home and I have managed to ensure that all wooden furniture in the main living areas is walnut. These coasters matched my tables and other furniture perfectly. The quality and description are excellent and will remain a mainstay for years to come.

These coasters were exactly what I was looking for! I like its overall natural look and smooth feel. They are smooth at the bottom and have a rim at the top to allow a glass, cup or mug to fit in or stand on. They do their job of protecting the table and other woodwork! I thought for the money they should have fewer defects, scratches and dents. Otherwise they looked fine. They were gifts so I bought the more expensive kind. One set was so damaged I bought a replacement. I also noticed that they vary slightly in size, which is important to me because I engraved them with a laser. Wood lasers are beautiful. Customer service was great and they sent me a set of replacement coasters.

They look very beautiful and absorb too much! After a while, the wood will begin to warp and become unstable on any flat surface. As your soda ice cream begins to melt, it will soak in completely, leaving a very moist surface. Sometimes you get a cup and the coaster falls in your lap and spills water on you, so be careful. If you actively use them, choose something else. If they're really just for show, they look AMAZING! And for the most part it works well for the money.

The condensate tray is useless, it easily overflows and splashes onto the table, so ice-cold drinks won't stand up to the protection of this coaster. The coasters are a little smaller than I thought they would be, but they fit any standard cup we put on them, not the soup (get it). They are not very thick but have good strength.
