These are the best stone coasters and I've had LOTS of them. Many Thirstystone coasters don't absorb water or last long. I have had a few of these sets for over 4 years and use them daily. They break fairly easily, but as long as you don't handle them too roughly, they'll be fine. I haven't had a single break yet. They are beautiful and soak up dripping condensation perfectly. I bought these to protect our new table and they work great. I have yet to see any standing liquid or moisture on these coasters and kids constantly place glasses of ice water on them throughout the day.
