It's 100% cotton.

I bought this to use on hot bowl coasters in the microwave. For them, the thread must be 100% cotton. Happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Madam, how they say I only have Bought a spool of thread for a blanket I was sewing and it ran out real quick so I learned my lesson, buy more than you think you need. I haven't had any problems with this topic so far and am an absolute noob when it comes to such things. but I finished the project with my second yarn order and couldn't be happier. If you doubt it, don't do it because it costs money.
