Ok, but not that good!

I was disappointed with my Cobra :-( At first I was pleased but I found that the system hung several times. When the signal was lost it took a long time and several reboot episodes to recover the signal. Not very productive in trying to "find the way"". Sent unit back and considered another GPS for future use.

Excellent GPS. . . . . . if it works!

I recently bought this GPS for my parents and started using it as they don't travel much. I usually rent cars and it takes a while for the cobra to lock onto the satellites so you have to program your current position into yourself. I've been using this GPS for a month or more with no problems while traveling across the state. Then, recently, during the bank holiday weekend, the satellite lost lock. It was working fine when I left the car rental and drove to Harlem. I stopped in Harlem to shop.

Fantastic - would never do without it again!

I also bought this GPS system from QVC - and it's great! We opened the box, clipped it to the window and in minutes we were on our way with Miss Cobra's charming voice giving us precise turn-by-turn directions. Receives a signal incredibly fast!

I started looking into GPS devices because as a single woman I wanted to feel safer in unfamiliar places. Yes, I can read a map, but nothing screams "vulnerable" quite like examining a map at a store in a less than stellar area. This device is technologically superior in terms of satellite detection, signal strength and ease of use.
