It could work. I think it will really depend on your particular dryer. My Bosch has a very narrow front loading opening. I can insert it, twist it and get a lot of lint. But when I pull it out, most of the lint is scraped off and falls back. The sand at the bottom of the fluff filter will not be affected. I ended up finding a very thin vacuum nozzle that I like better.

Unfortunately, I'm not very happy with this. I have a front loading dryer and have tried it a few times. It just seems to pick up the lint that gets into the bristles (I understand that's how it's supposed to work). However, it doesn't help remove other lint, nor does it catch enough lint to be a useful product. I would probably prefer a lint brush that acts like a mesh and picks up more. After spending over 15 minutes using it I would say about 90% of the lint was still in the car.

I wasn't sure if this would work properly with my front loading dryer as the lint filter is in the front of the drum. But it worked and I was amazed at how much lint accumulated there! It seemed to clean very well and subsequent cleanings produced less lint so it seems to be working. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's REALLY dirty.
