This is not vacuum packaging. It simply pushes air out of the top when you push the top into the base. It feels like there is a vacuum seal because the top seals well and air can't get in fast enough when you take the top off.

This is not a vacuum container and is falsely advertised as such so I am giving it one star. As an airtight product I would rate it a 4 based on what you get for the price. It creates a pretty good seal due to the lack of clips, which I think is good enough for my use. The problem is that the lid cannot remove the volume of air from the container to create any kind of vacuum. A cheap airtight container is pretty decent for the price, but don't think it creates a vacuum.

I rated it 3 out of 5 due to the fingerprint issue. Every time someone touches the container, oily fingerprints remain, even if the person's hands are perfectly clean and dry. The exit is very problematic. Functionally, it seems to be working perfectly. It stores beans or coffee and is airtight. Overall I would give 5 out of 5 for everything except the finish. Love it so much I bought a second one for work. I had to deduct a star because there is a permanent sticker on the top of the lid. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but the paper part of the decal peels off on the first wash, but the sticky part holds on. Each time it took me 15 minutes to remove this sticker. That's idiotic. You can hear the suction when the lid closes, which makes me feel like it's blocking the freshness, but I've had it not long ago so can't confirm how long the freshness lasts. The only downside for me personally is that I find the design a bit awkward to maneuver as I can't hold onto anything on the canister.
