Drains good, easy install no plumbers putty

Easy install, I was skeptical because the install does not show plumbers putty in the instructions but i did it exactly how.it sais. No leaks, been about a month.

Pros
  • ‎PH-700
Cons
  • The drain hose attaches too tightly to the assembly, creating difficulties when trying to disengage it for cleaning or maintenance

Perfect for converting old shallow sink with deep sink

I remodeled a 100+ year old home and the plumbing drain was too high when I installed the new undermount sink. I didn't realize it would be an issue until the counter top/sink was installed. This was the perfect strainer allowing me to use the existing drain vs cutting into the wall and adding a lower one.

Pros
  • ‎Coflex
Cons
  • This sink strainer is not aesthetically pleasing, making it an unattractive addition to your kitchen sink

Brilliant idea, but plastic is too weak

Save space and pipe pich, which is critical, however the bottom plastic nut is VERY weak even for hand tight, so I worry it may loose or crack some day. The idea and design is really brilliant. Most likely I will look for metal version of this strainer even if it will cost $$.

Pros
  • Use of clamp to securely attach dishwasher drain hose to branch recommended. Clamp not included.
Cons
  • The Coflex Sink Strainer tends to rust over time, compromising its hygiene and safety
