I do not recommend this product. With this kit it is not possible to route the body cable through the bicycle frame. Paid a little more and bought a park tool instead.

If the cable is passed through the brake cable, the circuit shown in the picture will not work. The brake cable is too thick and stretches the male thread part, so the female thread part cannot be screwed onto the male part.

Guide wire is bare steel wire similar to steel brake wire and is stiff. When used in a frame, the wire will scratch the paint as it enters and exits the frame holes. It has no protective outer coating. Purchase a kit that has a protective coating over the wire.

Reasonably priced for a tool that solves a tough problem. No one likes changing cables and wires on a bike. Last but not least, the internal routing. With a little practice of patience and YouTube videos, this tool solves this problem for little money.

This product is expensive for what it is. The connectors didn't fit me because the connection was too thick to fit through the hole in my bike frame. I ended up using nylon cord, soldered it to the end of the original cable and pulled it through. It worked like a charm and less fuss than this device.

After reading the mostly positive reviews I decided to give it a try. It worked great for running a brake hose through my Trek's frame. It took a little trickery, and when it came up, the shifter cables tangled with the magnet. After playing around with it for a few minutes, I was finally done. Worth the money, would buy more.

I had to get really creative to do this on my 2020 Marlin 5. This magnet is not strong enough to pull through cables or the case. I literally had to get other magnets that I had in my garage. If you ever need it, this may come in handy. If you need this more than once I will definitely take better than that. Too bad I didn't buy a Park Tools puller as I think I'll need it more than once.

After purchase I realized that all the orange magnet on the outside of the frame is pretty much a gimmick. Luckily, magnetized cables are included, which work well to pull each other through the frame. If you want to use a cable mount, make sure you're using the correct cable. There are two. The ones I received had magnets with different polarities so one was designed to pull through the other and this one was designed to fit into mounts that fit bike cables.
