Lock failed on first use. I had to

I put it on my truck in the fall of 2019. This week I went for shooting for the first time, but the lock does not open. No signs of corrosion or anything since the cover was on. I struggled with it for a long time and eventually gave up. I grabbed a short pipe from the garage, stuck it on the end and broke off for half a second. Went down to the car zone and just grabbed a standard pin. Of course I was upset that I bought this thing and it ended up breaking and I had to break it and buy another

simply clever and well done!

I expect this type of lock to be much better than a regular key lock what if you watch on youtube? Well, let's just say that ordinary plain key locks are so damn easy to pick! I have a new Rugged Eckhart CUSTOM MADE (NOT CHINESE!) receiver and gearbox and a switchable bullet. I DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT OFF EVERY ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE, it should be a deterrent enough for everyday parking, shopping malls, restaurants, rest stops along the way, hiking, unloading my motorbike and driving along the…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Thought it was good but it happened

Purchased this bolt on 6th July 2019 while towing a 28ft trailer with an F350 and have never removed it since installing. Made several trips, maybe 6 in total and they were all within a few hundred miles. On this trip we traveled from North Dallas to Phoenix so the total trip was just over 2,000 miles. Just drove from Sedona to Gallup, New Mexico. Ran back into the Petrified Forest and when we got back to the park as I walked around the back of the truck the hitch was inches from falling out…

The best locking pin!

At 62 I have been towing trailers for about 46 years. For most of those years I've been searching for the "perfect" locking pin. This item matches this account! In the course of time I lost two locks due to locking pins of different designs. (Admittedly, I must not have locked the locks the way I thought!) By the grace of God, the pin did not fall out and freed my pendant. This locking pin has two fuses which I really like. First, he uses a conventional clutch pin to hold the pin in the…

Do not buy in tow items and winches

Totally bad product. I read conflicting reviews but decided to purchase anyway. I've used it about 5 times and after a 3500 mile ride I tried to remove the hitch and the lock acted like the key code was wrong, the key wouldn't turn at all. My first thought was that it would be very difficult to cut. Then I noticed that the pin seemed to have more free play than usual. I took a screwdriver to see if I could take it apart and the end of the lock just came loose. So I had a complete failure of the

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Not everything fits
