Almost round handle. There are some raised points that provide insufficient support. It might work if you could keep your hands dry while brushing your teeth, but having water and toothpaste in your mouth makes that almost impossible. Even slightly rubberized grip surfaces become slippery when wet. The handles of other toothbrushes are flatter. I put some small rubber bands on the handle to improve grip. The bristles are perfect for this - strong and soft enough for tender gums.

If you want to brush your teeth yourself, don't buy this toothbrush. The pen was clearly designed by someone who has never brushed their teeth. It seems to work fine until it gets wet. And when that happens, you'd better have a pair of tongs handy if you want to keep cleaning, because there's no way you're holding the stupid thing in Khan. But the bristles are soft. woo-hoo.
