Great needles

I do a lot of appliquรฉ but never understood the difference a good appliquรฉ needle can make. They are very, very good (refilling is not an easy task) and a bit flexible so it's easier to pick up just a few threads at a time. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Made in the UK
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Haven't found a needle I like more yet

I haven't found a needle I like more than John James or The lady with a thimble yet. They are both smooth and last a long time. The foxglove's needle ears are only slightly larger, but otherwise comparable. I have a lot of both and use both.

Pros
  • This is a great way to add an extra design to any project you want to add
Cons
  • I'll add it later

Compare yourself.

I recently had a big hand embroidery and applique project where I decided to thread all the needles I had on hand so I could work uninterrupted. These needles have gained popularity due to their ability to glide on fabric. Seriously, hands down. I had the more expensive ones and felt like I had to "poke" them until they slid like clockwork.

Pros
  • An innovative range of coated needles from the famous John James of England
Cons
  • Some mistakes
