Simple project but instructions are wrong!

This is a pretty easy project for my seven year old. But the guide that comes with the kit is for a different size than the mesh. The printed grid is 32 squares wide while the instruction sheet has 38 squares, making all the calculations completely wrong. For those who are learning to embroider for the first time, this is a huge disappointment.

Decent set, wrong instructions

The set is cute and my 5 and 3 year old daughters are fine (with lots of help). However, the instructions are completely wrong. Following the stitch order as printed will result in the yarn just looping onto the canvas with lots of empty space. Continental needle stitch has more yarn on the left side of the canvas, creating a fuller effect. Locate Continental Stitch instructions instead of following the information that came with the kit. I also recommend a needle threader to make threading the

Not as good as other brands

My 6 year old daughters LOVE the similar embroidery kits from ALEX Crafts so I looked for other kits with a different design as ALEX's choices were limited. I love the designs in the Colorbok sets - they are absolutely adorable and way cuter than the ALEX sets - but the quality isn't nearly as good! any color, which means that you need to cut the strands to the desired length.
