I bought 2 different sets of these hair clips - they are strong and big enough to hold my very thick hair, nice heavy feel. In the photos I have blow dried my hair but normally my hair is very curly and very thick. Beautiful - everything. Stretch? They are metal! They don't stretch or I don't understand the question. They came in individual plastic bags inside a big plastic bag to protect them from damage. They are really beautiful with precious stones and enamel. The clips are standard French style and hold the hair well. They are quite large and as they are all metal (not plastic) they are quite heavy which can be a problem for some people. I think that's an amazing deal for a set of four.

I bought a collection of 4 colors - pink, aqua, purple and amber. As others have said, they are much better than I expected in quality and beauty, at a very reasonable price of $3.38 each. They arrived in an eco-friendly gift box and each was wrapped in its own protective cellophane wrap. Not only were they stunning, but the mechanism was top notch, better than most of my other hairpins. I am very happy about these beauties and I hope that you will also give yourself such a gift.

First of all, it's very beautiful. However, the bottom barrette, designed to slide under the hair, is shaped in a way that not only hurts, but also makes it difficult to penetrate the hair. Great purchase for thick hair. The double French clasp is secure and does not move. Wear one or two on the sides or one on the back.
