🩳 Columbia Permit Short Carbon Medium: High-Performance Outdoor Shorts for Adventure Enthusiasts Review

All in all a decent summer short with versatile pockets. However, the fabric is very thin, almost sheer, and feels cheap, contrary to the quality I've come to expect from Columbia clothing. For me they also fit more than the suggested size, but it's easy to add a belt. I bought a couple when they were 75% off so I wasn't too disappointed with the price. Absolutely don't think they cost more than $30 IMO.

I have a previous pair of these amazing ones. Columbia either lowered the price or decided that ultra-thin would be the new plan because every pattern on the underwear can be seen through them. I tried to be a commando and when they get wet you can see your trash they are so thin. Too bad because the location of the pockets is perfect for me, especially for an EDC (everyday carry) knife. My previous pair was the perfect balance of thin and quick drying, durable and practical for everyday wear…

Meh, just a remake II, no extra button if lost. Velcro doesn't open as easily as II for some reason. I had to take it off so I could slip my wallet in and out. Finally, small, medium, etc. are now used instead of actual sizes.

Attention: Although they are very well made and look great, they are of little use. After washing and dressing, the first thing I noticed was that none of my things were in the side pockets .The bottom of the side pockets is at the top of the cargo pockets.For me they will be fine but I will only use the cargo pockets and back pocket.

Size chart doesn't help as this particular short comes in sizes SML etc. I have a waist size 34-35 and ordered L first and replace it with medium. The size chart does not correspond to the waist size.

Please note these sizes are small, medium, large etc? They are not the ones in the photo. The ones pictured are sold in waist sizes 34, 36 etc and are an 8 and 10 in length. However, they are only 6 inches long. They look like girls shorts. If you want it you will love it but just don't look at the photo. The size clearly says this isn't a real bargain and that's why they're so cheap. Saved them anyway, so here's the thing.

Can't rate this 5 stars even though these are my favorite shorts because they are comfortable, quick drying and lightweight. They don't dry as quickly as their backcast shorts, but they do dry quickly. The reason I can't give this 5 stars is because I have 3 of these and carried all 3 in my back pocket for the very first time. burst inside and it will not be possible to put anything inside. The shorts are nice and light and easy to wash. However, the inside of the back pockets is mesh (like the inside of a men's swim trunks). Because it's made of mesh, the seam doesn't hold and pulls out to form a hole at the bottom of the bag. Unfortunately, my husband keeps his wallet here. A hole (which no one had previously found) caused his wallet to fall out of his pocket at a restaurant. Luckily a kind and honest customer found it and handed it over to the manager and he was able to collect
