Basically what I expected

When I bought these I was looking for a lightweight fleece lined jacket. I'm giving this jacket a 4 because it's lightweight and looks like a good jacket (although the waterproof part hasn't been tested yet) but the fleece is only in the hood and goes to the middle of the back, not the bottom of the Jacket. Too bad the ad didn't include a photo of the inside of the jacket.

Pros
  • Machine washable
Cons
  • Very expensive

Waterproof and warm

It held up well during a very rainy trip to the San Diego Zoo and Legoland. My kids stayed dry and the fleece lining provided an extra layer of warmth. Rolls up tightly after rain for easy backpack storage. They will work great by the end of the year. The sizing for Columbia seems to be smaller than most brands. My son who wears S in other brands wears XS in Colombia, another who wears XS wears XXS in Colombia.

Pros
  • Zipper
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Good jacket for the price

Great little jacket and what you would expect for the price. Fairly good waterproofing, average on the Columbia scale. This is not a raincoat and I wouldn't recommend it for winter, no taped seams or zippers but it will do for the northwest shoulder season. I love that it has a light fleece lining on the shoulders and hood so the jacket isn't a cold surface for your child's skin when it rains. Also, the stitching is pretty heavy, my friend isn't going to punch holes in it right away. The rain…

Pros
  • VERSATILE: The light, waterproof outer material and protective reflective details make this waterproof jacket a versatile product for dark and rainy climates.
Cons
  • Big and chunky
