Cool shirt! in shirts

I live in central Texas and it's hot (really hot). I do a lot of outdoor work on my property and can honestly say this is the best hot weather work shirt I have ever owned. Since many other synthetic fiber products claim to "absorb sweat," they just feel sticky and uncomfortable. The same goes for cotton shirts. Not so with the Columbia PFG Tamiami II Long Sleeve Shirt. Although I sweat a lot at work, the shirt was very comfortable, not hot at all and protected me from the heat in the sun. I…

Great shirt but big

I love these Tamiami PFG shirts from Columbia. They are very light and breathable, the long sleeves provide excellent protection from the sun and do not heat up. But how glad I am that I read the reviewer's comments regarding the sizes. I ordered medium although I usually wear large shirts. Medium is perfect for me. Oddly enough, I also own a couple of Columbia Silver Ridge shirts that are almost identical to the PFG shirts except for a few design details. However, the size Large is perfect for

Works perfectly. not breathing

My skin suffers from excessive sun exposure. This shirt should be the solution. Unfortunately it isn't. I was looking for a breathable shirt that would fit. This is missing from both accounts. It is much more. The size is medium, fits like a very large one. And the shirt, as others like it, is very tightly woven from synthetic fabric. The wind is good, but not the air. The color is great and the design is ok. Many outdoor (hiking?) shirts have odd pockets. This one is no exception. While fewer…

the color is nice, the material is nice and light on the body, but the collar started to crumble with bunches of pile from chafing at the neck. I've only worn the shirt 5-6 times and it wears out pretty quickly for the price. I bought it for both everyday work and outdoor lifestyle. I've had this problem with other shirts, but it usually takes a lot longer. Looks like wear and tear will soon seep through all the material and I'll have to throw it away or at least not rely on it being "something

Pretty good travel shirts if you remove the stupid patch/tag from the back.

Bought five colors for a tropical trip. They are light and comfortable and have retained their color after many washes. I washed them in the hotel room bathroom, wrung them out and hung them to dry, and by morning they were completely dry. I took off a star for the stupid triangular stain in the center of the back that took me a few minutes to remove from everyone without damaging them. One wash later and you can't even see the lines where they were before. A minor inconvenience, but I don't…

Amazing: fresh and cool! They are 1/2 size bigger for me

First attempt today in 95 degree dry weather in Arizona, 2 miles backpacking. I was sweating and there were wet stains on my shirt. Although definitely cooler and drier than the cotton t-shirt I'd worn under similar circumstances the day before. I like the long sleeves that protect my arms. SIZE: I'm 5ft 11in, bust 44in, waist 38in, weight 220lbs. I ordered XXL as XL shirts are usually tight around the neck and get in the way. This XXL felt very loose and breezy: perfectly comfy for my 38"…

The men's small will fit a woman aged 12 maybe 14.

I'm a long-armed woman so I have a hard time finding sunshirts long enough to cover my wrists. Columbia women's shirts are the worst. Even with the increase in size, the sleeves don't seem to get longer. At wild risk I tried to order this men's shirt and marvel of marvels, the sleeves are long enough. In fact, they are so long that I can stick my thumb through the buttonhole on the cuffs. So when I ride, the sleeves stay on my ankles for full sun protection instead of riding all the way back…

The size is too big and the material attracts dirt

I bought a medium sized men's shirt and either I got smaller or the shirt got bigger. Big in shoulders, arm length and torso - basically like a big shirt. What surprised me the most was the length of the sleeves as I don't have short arms. Colombian clothing seems to be getting bigger overall - maybe as big as a vanity for the ever-expanding American population? Whatever it is, it's annoying because Columbia clothing has always worked well for me in the past. This material also likes dirt…

Seasoned travelers will know this shirt

I have a pair as well as some of the short sleeve versions that I have reviewed elsewhere on Revain. They differ only in that the long-sleeved version has — wait — long sleeves. These sleeves have a strap that is attached with a loop in the middle of the sleeve (inside). When the sleeve is rolled up to around the elbow, the strap can be attached to the outside of the sleeve, keeping it rolled up. As the material is very silky and sheer it will unfold and sag in practice if you don't roll it up…
